Historical Facts obviously omitted or deliberately hidden in our School History Books

*That Spain had already formally surrendered to the Federal Republic of the Visayas even before Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was proclaimed Philippine President in Malolos, Bulacan on January 23, 1899. That our Independent Visayan Republic, had never been under the authority and jurisdiction of Aguinaldo's "Katagalogan" Republic in Luzon.

excerpted: "...A paper written by Jose Manuel Velmonte, a research associate at the UP Third World Studies Center, found that the Visayan revolutionary elites not only had sophisticated political ideas but also resented attempts by Malolos to assert its authority. A Tagalog military expedition sent by Malolos to Panay to assert its presence was met with hostility. The Luzon force led by Generals Ananias Diocno and Leandro Fullon was regarded by the Visayan revolutionaries, led by the Visayan supremo, Gen. Martin Delgado, as an ''invasion'' force ..." According to Dr. Luis C.Dery, an eminent Filipino Scholar: "Expounding the extent of Aguinaldo's Philippine Army; the Bangsamoro nation's Mindanao, Sulu, and the rest of its islands never fell under Aguinaldo's politico-military control and sovereignty. In fact as late as August 1898 much of northern Luzon, southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao remained outside of the control of Aguinaldo's Republic. Thus, several military expeditions were sent to these places to bring' them to recognize the First Philippine Republic."

*That the 1898 Treaty of Paris preliminaries, should not have included territories of the sovereign "Visayan Nation"; the confederation of both the Central and Western Visayas Cantonal Governments by virtue of Spain's formal surrender prior to this U.S. and Spain treaty of peace (Paris) and the $20-million buy-out. Spain had no more legal rights to sell. In legal parlance "nemodat quod non habet” -meaning “you cannot give what is not yours”. It states that the purchase of a possession from someone who has no ownership right to it also denies the purchaser any ownership title.

This diplomatic "Faux pas" that was supposed to be officially consummated and became legal and internationally binding only on APRIL 11, 1899 should, or rather must be rectified.

*June 12, 1898 -Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed Philippine Independence from Spain in Kawit, Cavite --but never won the war against Spain, as explained in the infamous betrayal --the "Mock Battle of Manila of August 13, 1898".

*Nov. 6 & Dec. 23, 1898 -Spain formally surrendered to both; the Negros Republic that merged (Dec. 2, 1898) with the Federal Republic of the Visayas based in Iloilo (respectively)

excerpted: "...These two nations, from a purely legal point of view, are COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE UNTIL TODAY. This could imply that the Manila-based Tagalista-oriented Unitarian central government of the Philippines in the Visayas and Mindanao is an Occupational Government, that ultimately originated from an invalid Treaty of Paris...."

Philippine Link - Grupong Magellan (Amateur HAM Radio Group) 2021 Mini-Eyeball in Las Vegas, NV.

MGA ILONGGO SA AMERICA JOIN (Philippine Link * Grupong Magellan) "MINI-EYEBALL QSO-2021" IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

The Ilonggo Historian and a family Genealogist Dinggol Araneta Divinagracia, an FCC duly licensed Amateur HAM Radio Operator with call-sign N6MRD (PDNs: GM-Buglas & GM-Mragtas) of San Diego, CA. delivered a short talk before delegates of Philippine Link Wires X (C4FM) - Grupong Magellan (GM) Amateur HAM Radio Global Network.

The venue was in LAS VEGAS, NV. during the groups' "Mini-Eyeball QSO" last May 15-17, 2021 headed by top honcho WJ1P (Joel I. Limjoco Pastor) of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

Other Ilonggos who participated were, as follows:

*KJ7VIO (Kirilz Benliro) & XYL Dra. Irene Mosqueda-Benliro - who belong to GM-LasVegas Group that hosted the affair.

*KJ7VIJ (Dindo Dimzon) & XYL Myrna Valenzuela-Dimzon - also of GM-LasVegas Group who generously offered their spacious brand new (still unoccupied) future Home Care facility for the main event (Lunch Buffet & Program Proper on the 17th of May).

*KJ4CPA (Bong P. Astorga) & XYL Claire Hortillosa Bosque-Astorga of Miami, Florida. Bong is an active mainstay Net Controller, and dubbed as the "Guro on the air" for new members.

*KN6OGZ (Rene V. Morales) & XYL Daphne Tagalog-Morales of National City, San Diego, CA. --Renemor surprised the audience with his superb singing performance.

*KN6GXQ (Nonong Roxas) & XYL Sheila Perez-Roxas of Serra Mesa, San Diego, CA. --Nonong is a reliable new member of GM GeekWorks Team.

*K5DPL (David Lindayag, Jr) of Dallas, Texas --The jolly and ever smiling David was born an Ilonggo of Manila parentage. He always add humor with his presence.

*KN6MKX (Leonor Delarmente-Baldonado) & hubby Tuping with their kids Vincent and Audrey of Clairemont Mesa, San Diego, CA. --Ma'am Leonor is an active member of the Net Controller Team headed by KR6SY (Richard Sy) of Anaheim, CA.

*KN6PGS (Anthony A. Rivera) of San Diego, CA. accompanied his favorite, and one and only Father-in-Law (Ehem!) to the Las Vegas affair.

The Grupong Magellan "Mini-Eyeball QSO" in Las Vegas was a great success considering that it was attended by about 60 friendly delegates. Although, it was only decided a month earlier, and just to coincide with the installation of our C4FM (Dual Mode) Repeater facility in the strategic Mount Calico area along the way in southern California.

Incidentally, I wish to take this opportunity to thank our kind "Kasimanwa" Kirilz and Dra. Irene Mosqueda-Benliro for their generous hospitality in offering to me and company --their comfortable unit at the Las Vegas Oasis RV Park and Resort for our use during the whole affair.

Likewise, kudos! to the other GM-Las Vegas Boys and their XYLs (renamed GM-LasVegas Group) for hosting the memorable event spearheaded by KJ7VIN (Rey Faustino) and N6CLE (Clem Caponpon); and with the "Gunner" VE7NDM (Nick Mamaril) who took charge of filling our "Estomago" to the max!

Our Mini-Eyeball in the "Sin City" --the moniker for Las Vegas was blessed with the arrival of our esteemed member W4/4G4S (Rev. Fr. Sonny Guadalupe), who like a living Angel flew over from Richmond, VA. using the wings of American Airlines to share with us the prayers and blessings from up above.

And so together with my traveling companions KN6OHA (Joel a.k.a. Oha-Oha) and KN6PGS (AnthRiv) --we say "madamo guid nga salamat!" kag kabay pa makaliwat! --73 & 88 de N6MRD (Dinggol) ~~~
