Ang Republika Federal sg Kabisay-an (The Federal Republic of the Visayas)

Historical Facts obviously omitted or deliberately hidden in our School History Books
(Source: History Reborn"The Federal Republic of the Visayas" -by: dinggol a.divinagracia*June 12, 2007)

*That Spain had already formally surrendered to the Federal Republic of the Visayas even before Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo was proclaimed Philippine President in Malolos, Bulacan on January 23, 1899. That our Independent Visayan Republic, had never been under the authority and jurisdiction of Aguinaldo's "Katagalogan" Republic in Luzon.

excerpted: "...A paper written by Jose Manuel Velmonte, a research associate at the UP Third World Studies Center, found that the Visayan revolutionary elites not only had sophisticated political ideas but also resented attempts by Malolos to assert its authority. A Tagalog military expedition sent by Malolos to Panay to assert its presence was met with hostility. The Luzon force led by Generals Ananias Diocno and Leandro Fullon was regarded by the Visayan revolutionaries, led by the Visayan supremo, Gen. Martin Delgado, as an ''invasion'' force ..." (Source: Inquirer-1999- 06-13 "View of revolt in provinces spurs revision" By: Amando Doronila)

According to Dr. Luis C.Dery, an eminent Filipino Scholar: "Expounding the extent of Aguinaldo's Philippine Army; the Bangsamoro nation's Mindanao, Sulu, and the rest of its islands never fell under Aguinaldo's politico-military control and sovereignty. In fact as late as August 1898 much of northern Luzon, southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao remained outside of the control of Aguinaldo's Republic. Thus, several military expeditions were sent to these places to bring' them to recognize the First Philippine Republic."

*That the 1898 Treaty of Paris preliminaries, should not have included territories of the sovereign "Visayan Nation"; the confederation of both the Central and Western Visayas Cantonal Governments by virtue of Spain's formal surrender prior to this U.S. and Spain treaty of peace (Paris) and the $20-million buy-out. Spain had no more legal rights to sell. In legal parlance "nemodat quod non habet” -meaning “you cannot give what is not yours”. It states that the purchase of a possession from someone who has no ownership right to it also denies the purchaser any ownership title.

This diplomatic "Faux pas" that was supposed to be officially consummated and became legal and internationally binding only on APRIL 11, 1899 should, or rather must be rectified.

*June 12, 1898 -Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo proclaimed Philippine Independence from Spain in Kawit, Cavite --but never won the war against Spain, as explained in the infamous betrayal --the "Mock Battle of Manila of August 13, 1898".

*Nov. 6 & Dec. 23, 1898 -Spain formally surrendered to both; the Negros Republic that merged (Dec. 2, 1898) with the Federal Republic of the Visayas based in Iloilo (respectively)

excerpted: "...These two nations, from a purely legal point of view, are COMPLETELY LEGITIMATE UNTIL TODAY. This could imply that the Manila-based Tagalista-oriented Unitarian central government of the Philippines in the Visayas and Mindanao is an Occupational Government, that ultimately originated from an invalid Treaty of Paris...."

*July 4, 1946 -The United States of America granted Philippine Independence on a silver platter with strings attached.

Ergo! we won our battle-scarred freedom and legitimate independence and became a sovereign nation. The "First" Republic in the whole of Asia, but was nipped-in-the bud by the "ugly" Americans. A diplomatic faux pas, a political blunder and a travesty of history! --DinggolAranetaDivinagracia~~~

Welcome! to San Diego, California ...

Welcome! to San Diego, California ...

(By: DinggolAranetaDivinagracia - October 13, 2018)

Last Saturday on the 6th instant, my second cousin Pablito Valera Araneta came for a brief visit to San Diego, California. He is the eldest son of the late Barotac Nuevo-Iloilo former Mayor Mariano Cartagena Araneta and Dr. Estrella Valera- Araneta and a grandson of the 1898 Ilonggo revolutionary leader General Pablo Soriano Araneta of Molo, Iloilo City.

Pablito, the famed football Coach from Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo dubbed as the “Football Capital of the Philippines” was the former Provincial Board Member of the Fourth District of Iloilo and is presently Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Province. His brother Mariano “Nonong” Araneta, Jr. is the President of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF). On May 8, 2017 Nonong was elected during the 67th FIFA Congress in Manama, Bahrain to the FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) Council, the highest decision-making body in the football world.

Primo Pablits came together with his wife Susan Montilla-Araneta, Susan’s sister Millet and her hubby Rogie Ybañez.

During the joint birthday celebration of Marjorie Villareal, a scion of the illustrious Villareal Clan of Capiz province in the Philippines and the 12-year old Pia, only daughter of Nonong and Sheila Perez-Roxas, the guests of mostly Ilonggos at the home of our good buddy and generous host Bob Tran were all pleased to have the special guests around. Yes! Pablits rendered meaningful songs of the yesteryears with mucho gusto to the delight of the audience.

Other Ilonggo San Diegans who attended the very successful birthday bash were: Freddie Braga Abadiano with daughter Marijo A. Bedro and her son Andre. Freddie is the past President of the Ilonggo Association of Southern California (IASC), Inc.;

Christuping Baldonado came with his Leonor “forevermore” Delarmente and their daughter Audrey is her name; Ma’am Leonor  is the Prexy of the Ilonggo Nation Grupo San Diego, California;

Thelma the matriarch of the Jereza-Lopez clan came with her ever smiling teenage “Apo” Abbie Pagharion, and her multi-talented son Franz “Boboy” Jereza with his teenage son Josh. Boboy is the founder cum admin of the Ilonggo sa America FB Group;

Nazario “Tata” Biliran VI was with wifey Lora, their tall, dark and handsome teenage son Lorenz and daughter Nazalie, the six (6) years old pretty singing sensation; Edsel and Marichu Ruiz came with daughter Nomi the future Ilongga Olympic gymnastic champion. Adele D. Rivera came with two of her four Rivera boys Mick and Josh;

The Capiznon present were Rosa Amancio Dico, no relation to Deco’s Lapaz Batchoy, came with her three “K’s”; Kris the hubby, Kristoff the son and Kristyll the daughter; the family of Ferric and Judy Denaga Cabuhay; her sister Arlene with hubby Glenn Pangco and kids;

Maricel Besa Estillomo, a cousin of Marjorie came all the way from the land of the Shieks to attend the affair. She was escorted by Dr. Rodel Lim whose maternal ancestry came from Cuartero, Capiz. Many other guests were “Tumandok” or natives of Roxas City in Capiz that is undoubtedly, the “Seafood Capital of the Philippines”...

The brother and sister of Bob together with their spouses were also present to personally greet Marjorie and to grace the occasion.

I met a newfound pariente, Mike Colmenares, during the affair together with his wife the former Mae Higgens of Pali in Mandurriao, Iloilo City and their two polite young kids. Mike is the son of Angelo and grandson of Tita Letty Soriano and Jesus Colmenares, Sr. of Balasan, Iloilo who had served as Provincial Board Member of the Fifth District. The district Hospital in Balasan, Iloilo was named in his honor.

Kudos! to the group headed by the reliable Nonong B. Roxas who earlier volunteered to give Bob a helping hand in his predicament of moving into his new home, viz: The transfer of furniture and fixtures; household items and accessories plus his voluminous personal effects; the activation of the electrical connections and the plumbing system; the repair of minor damages and the clean-up of the interior and exterior portion of the house prior to Bob’s much awaited Marjorie’s arrival from the Philippines.

Thereafter, the appropriate decoration and preparation for the impending grand event --the joint birthday celebration. And for their invaluable services rendered “Gratis et Amore” credit goes to Nonong Roxas of course and to his inspiration he lovingly calls “Bing”; to the bachelor boy Nick Bobadilla the licensed Physical Therapist barkada who we fondly call “Bobadz”; to the Love-Team of BanVhan and Wella Perez-Alcazar and also si Akoh eh! nga nag tubong-tubong man bulig, diutay lang ugaling. Harakhak!!!

Salamuch! to our Ilonggo goup in sunny SanDie Californy, the bedimpled Ms.Cora Joy Hechanova and Ms. Cypress Lopez Jereza, a University of the Philippines - Iloilo City (UPIC) alumnus and active “Hamilia” member who guided her “Suon” Pablits and family during their San Diego in Southern California sojourn.

Welcome! and Thank you all! . . . Padayon! --dinggol.d~~~
